Launch of New Fund: ‘Football and Technology Fund’

🚀 Fund Launch: Football & Technology Fund

Two weeks ago we welcomed over 150 investors to the Metropolitan Club in NYC for an evening with Ipswich Town CEO Mark Ashton. It was an energizing discussion on the club’s tremendous recent growth, and the broader investment opportunity in European football. Thank you to everyone who attended and brought such thoughtful energy to the room.

At the event we officially launched our next Fund: Football & Technology Fund — a joint venture between TIA Ventures and Clara Vista Investment Partners:  https://www.sportsandtechfund.com. The Fund is focused on a) acquiring undervalued European football clubs and b) investing in technologies that will transform club operations, drive commercial growth, and increase on-field performance.

For those unable to attend, below please find our Fund Launch Video, Event Highlights & Full Recording, and Investor Presentation.

TIA Ventures Partner Insights

🚨 The #1 Killer of Great Product Development? Loss of Business Context.

Too many teams build in a vacuum—focusing on tickets, tasks, and timelines while forgetting why the product exists in the first place. In this sharp and story-rich convo, the TIA Ventures crew dives into how great ideas get lost in translation between founders, PMs, engineers, and users.

💡 Key takeaways:

• Context loss is like a game of telephone 📞 — each layer removed from the customer increases the odds of getting it wrong.

• Curiosity isn’t optional. The best builders constantly ask: Why does this matter? Who is this for?

• Tools like Rally’s Observer Rooms help bring teams closer to the end user 👀

• Founders must walk the floor—figuratively (and literally) staying plugged into what their team is shipping and why.

👊 If you’re not building with your customers, you’re building for rework.
